Big Stomach is an annoyance in some or other manner. Effect of it is visible in your family and healthy life. Your big stomach is getting so much unnecessary attention. The underlying factor behind our big stomach is that we intake more calories than we burn. Let us look at the reasons in detail:

a) Are you guilty of having Big Meal at one go: If you are having big meal at one go, you are indirectly sending your body metabolism to sleep. Since, having big meals at one go, result in lot of calories intake, which the body is not able to process all at a time. This over a period of time, develops in big stomach

b) Binging on Fast Food: It is quite common to have fast food when we are, supposed to have healthy foods. Our Modern life style, dictates this kind of eating habits. However, we are ignoring that these food contain many calories, which are contributing to our big stomach.

Our Sedentary Life Style: Our life style plays a major role in our weight gain and especially in growing of our tummy. Long office hours spent in front of a computer, without any physical activity, makes our stomach grow big in due course of time. The Body metabolism needs forces such as exercises, walking, and jogging to operate itself in full gear. In absence of such activities, calorie intake is more than it is burning.

Sleeping Immediately After Eating Food: Let me picture this situation for you” You are tired after working in office, come back to home, have your dinner and go to sleep immediately”. Now let us analyse this in detail. First, you have food and then you sleep. This leaves your body to do two things, one is to breakdown your food and then to repair other body parts during sleep. Ideally, you should have four hours of gap between your dinner and the sleep.

e) Having Too Much of Alcohol: It is a myth to believe that alcohol is liquid, so it does not contain calories. However, it contains empty calories. Some research studies have shown that, excess intake of alcohol increases appetite, which leads us to having more food, which over time leads to big stomach.
