Reviewing Weight Loss Programs

February 25th, 2010

Are you thinking diet or weight loss? Unless this is your first diet, you\’re going to need an ACTION PLAN. The key words are Action and Plan. My philosophy:

Action without planning is futile Planning without action is worthless.

You know this true when it comes to weight loss. Every weight loss company will give you a plan. They will give you a form of action. It may or may not include a buddy system, since many of them think you can\’t do it alone. A diet buddy system like Alcoholic Anonymous. Most will require charts and/or logins. Many will have meetings. There is always Action and Plan, Plan and Action.

No matter which plan or system you choose, follow the plan. Lose the weight. Become beautiful. Wear thin people clothes. Go on television as the person that lost all that weight. Be loved by millions. Get a sports car. Be admired. Be interviewed. Write a book. Let the exciting person inside of you out. Or, do nothing, change nothing, and remain as you are.

We\’ve just finished reading online reviews of about thirty weight loss plans, everything from NutriSystems and Weight Watchers to Fatloss4idiots to Jarrod\’s Subway diet. They discussed health, calories, protein, diet pills, weight gain, carbs, grapefruit, and just about everything else that\’s involved in being healthy. They reviewed how to lose weight with exercise, diet foods, and all forms of diet plans. You can get hypnosis. You can get diet pills. All of them have one objective- to help you if you really want to lose weight. We were looking for the right plan for me. Some of the weight loss programs I considered are very good, some, not so much. One review really caught my eye. It was a testimonial on a major website from a woman that simply blew me away. She was asked about her current low calorie diet. Maybe she didn\’t mean it as a testimonial, but here it is. You decide. \”Whenever I find that weight isn\’t falling off of me based on reduced calories (Plan A), I just go back to Plan B. I dropped just about 4 lbs by day 4. I\’m always amazed at how this diet works for me.\” – K. Jones (via email) I can see where someone might could call that a testimonial. Would you? Testimonials are there to convince you that you can do it. You already know you can lose the weight, so the testimonials are just there to reinforce your own opinion. Heck, you could even become a spokesperson for the plan of your choice. You could be doing the testimonial! Look at all of them you see on TV. Any one of them COULD BE YOU! They want you to succeed and show others. You are worthy, so do it!

Remember this: If you agree to do something and don\’t do it, it is no different than if you had not agreed to it in the first place. It doesn\’t matter what it is, its no different than not agreeing in the first place.

We have done a lot of homework on this subject because it matters. We have written many reviews of many products, including several times about this lady\’s particular plan. The question becomes, \”Why is it just a backup plan?\” Well, there are a couple of reasons, but mostly, she isn\’t where she wants to be and she isn\’t sticking to her plan to get there. She agreed to Plan A, but isn\’t doing it. She isn\’t sticking to her own plan to lose weight so she thinks that by adding a second plan to the works that everything will be okay. She may as well not have gone on Plan A in the first place. Besides, mixing two different diet plans is not going to get her where she feels she has to be. It will probably cost her her health in the long run.

Sorry! If you don\’t make a decision on what you want, set some goals, create a plan, and work at it, you won\’t lose much weight, and if you lose the weight without exercise, you won\’t tone up at all. I know the exercise is hard, but better to have hard exercise than hard arteries.

The rest? It\’s pretty simple, really. It\’s up to you. You have to set up a plan and follow it. Lose the weight. Become beautiful. Wear thin people clothes. Go on television as the person that lost all that weight. Be loved by millions. Get a sports car. Be admired. Be interviewed. Write a book. Let the exciting person inside of you out. Or do nothing, change nothing, and remain as you are.

Or do nothing, change nothing, and remain as you are. That\’s my opinion. It\’s really very simple. Make a choice and take the action that goes with it. It is working for me, and it will work for you.

Do it now! It\’s time for you to lose weight.Weight loss and get the program. Remember, it\’s all about you! Do this because YOU deserve it. Get a totally unique version of this article from our article submission service

Are Thanksgiving and Christmas on Your Diet?

February 9th, 2010

Thanksgiving and Christmas are the most glorious festive food days of the year. Dressing! And pie! Whipped Cream! Oh, YEAH! Another helping won’t hurt! Really? Sure, that one more little helping is between you and your maker, but do you want to see him now or later? Do you want to go with or without the cranberry sauce?

You can do anything you want. I know, we have all winter to be back on the diet so we can wear the new spring fashions. Yeah. Has that ever happened? I want you to feel good about yourself, so please think for one minute on the reason for your diet. You want to look good. You want to feel good. You want to meet someone, or go somewhere. You want a different life style. It seems like every week there is some kind of a TV show talking about the supersizing of America. A few years ago they said the average American was 10 pounds overweight. Now they talk about 35 % of the population is obese. Obese. Let me get back to the Thanksgiving and Christmas example. If you are on a diet, then you are on a diet. Don’t be that silly person that says you can go off for today, or tomorrow and back on the next day. Don’t be that silly person that says that it won’t matter because the diet doesn’t work anyway. That’s why they don’t work!!! Your diet has to become your lifestyle. Look on the TV. You see the people that actually lost weight and changed their lives.

Life style. Two simple words, but when put together, they mean a whole lot more. First, if you’re overweight and don’t change the way you eat, life may be good, but it will be short. If you don’t mind the jokes and snickers, if you don’t mind the rudeness we get when we are overweight, then it’s cool, stay that way. Did you know that every ten pounds of weight you carry increases pressure on your knees by forty pounds? But that’s okay, because it’s your body. If you find the craving for food to be too much, then eat. Taste, savor, enjoy. Just don’t consume. A couple weeks ago I handed a really exquisite chocolate to a lady that has gone from 280 down to 140. She bit off half of it, delighted in the flavor, cherished the taste, and discarded the rest. She has changed her life from the person that would just eat and eat and eat to the person that tastes and cherishes the flavor, but doesn’t CONSUME.

The second word is style. How about clothes that don’t have an X or W in the size? Would that be great? If you’re tired of wearing potato sacks, then stay away from the potatoes. Completely. I knowabout the nutrients in the skin, but have you ever peeled them and just eaten the skins, PLAIN? Style in a car? Sports cars are like shoes. You have to be able to get into them to wear them. A big sedan is comfortable? C’mon! We all know you need the room to get in and out. Who are we kidding? You diet for your own reasons, but you need to stick to it. Everyday. Your style has to be the person you want to be, not who you’ve stuck yourself with. You are not bound by mistakes. Change! Life style is when thin people invite you for dinner. Life style is knowing that there won’t be an extra turkey because you are coming, and you don’t hear “We cook extra because we like leftovers.” Life style is running down the beach, parasailing, volleyball, and stuff like that.

The problem is, lifestyle is a total concept. Holiday dinner? Friends, family, and food. Thanksgiving. The lady at the party that lost 140 pounds didn’t just skip a meal now and then. She changed her life. Her life is no longer about staying on a diet. Today she eats right and exercises, and is the thin person that she used to have deep inside. She no longer binges on food. She enjoys the holidays as social gatherings with warmth and camaraderie. Yiu can, too.

Losing the weight has to be your choice, but what a great choice it is. Set goals and grow into those goals, not the next dress size. Become a hero to yourself.
