Skipping breakfast in order to lose weight is a bad idea. You should eat a reasonable amount for breakfast, and then you won’t eat as much in the evening. Don’t change your diet quickly or drastically; if you cut out more than 500 calories a day, you’ll probably start losing muscle mass instead of fat.
