If you have struggled with weight loss your whole life and have searched for quick weight loss plans for years, you are not unlike me. I have researched many diet plans and have tried them all from Atkins, to South Beach to other gimmick “easy diet plans”. As a result, I know a little about the topic at hand. The experts would call what I have a weight problem. I’ve lost weight, only to regain it. Then I’ll lose it again, then regain. Rinse and repeat.
And who doesn’t love food? I know I do. And I hate looking at myself right before the holidays and realizing that the only way to get down to the size I need to be is to starve myself with some new weight loss plan. In searching for the right diet plan for me it was frustrating to encounter hype on top of more hype. Outrageous claims with crazy before and after photos from the testimonials served to turn me off from plans rather than draw me to them. I mean, come on! After struggling for 45 days only to lose 10 pounds, it was disheartening to hear of people supposedly dropping an unbelievable 30 pounds in 30 days. I have tried some products that have worked, but were not right for me in the long haul. I needed a plan that would help me lose weight and then keep it off. Moreover, it needed to let me eat the kinds of food I enjoyed and found filling enough so that I wouldn’t be craving snacks.
We’ve all seen the plethora of diet programs, websites, and DVDs that all claim to have the best solution. I have found that the best diet program is no diet at all, but a life-style change to follow everyday of your life. The moment you abandon your diet is the moment that all of the weight you lost begins to come back to you. It may be immediate or it may take awhile, but if you go back to your old way of living the weight will come with it.
That is why I choose to not diet, but live a healthy lifestyle all the time and follow programs that advocate the same
