Is Your Arm Toning Approach Not Working?

April 23rd, 2010

Excess arm fat is a condition that has left too many women self conscious about their appearance. And the good news is that you do not have to suffer from this.

So, without any more delay, here is how to take your arm toning to the next level:

1. Use specificity: While it’s important to burn fat off your entire body for the best results, you also need to be very specific with exercises that directly tone your arm muscles. In fact, research shows that you can increase local levels of growth hormone in your arms.

2. Target the long head of your triceps: The long head is the area when arm fat directly hangs from. And toning up this part can help speed up the process. Exercises that involve overhead tricep extension will target this muscle directly.

3. Target the inner head of the triceps: The inner head is definitely not as visible as the long head, but for the most complete arm toning, you shouldn’t neglect it. Fortunately, the easiest way to do this is so simply reverse your grip on standard pressdown exercises for the triceps.

4. Target the side head of the triceps: It behooves you to do this because the side head is the most visible part of your arm muscle from the side. Thus, directly targeting it will lead to some great visible results. And all you have to do here are pressdown movements with an overhand grip.

5. Work the front part of your arms: In other words, don’t forget to exercise your biceps. Keep in mind that this group of muscle is the first group someone will see when looking at you from the front. Similar to the triceps, make sure you use a variety of exercises and grips.

6. Resistance train often: If you don’t resistance train, you will not be able to change your body as quickly as possible. There is no doubt here that resistance training is the most effective and efficient way to change the way your body looks.

The best approach here is to burn overall body fat while simultaneously working your arms. So make sure you take action here quickly, because information that is not acted upon is usually forgotten!

Six Things To Help You Lose More Arm Fat

January 2nd, 2010

So many women ignore the common knowledge of eating smaller meals consistently during the day and not starving oneself when learning how to lose arm fat. Why do they do this? Because deep down inside women want to believe that starvation and extreme dieting will produce faster results.

But the truth is that such guerilla dieting destroys the body’s metabolic mechanisms. In other words, it shuts down your body’s ability to burn off the arm flab. So here are 6 nutrition tips to follow so that your body (and mind) doesn’t shut down:

1. Forget about calories in versus calories out. In this day and age, everyone is busy and we don’t have all day to exercise. It’s not necessary to spend hours running and hours lifting weights every day to get rid of the arm jiggle. All that’s needed is a short workout that gets to the point in 45 minutes or less (note: you should be sweating and panting).

2. Don’t keep a journal of every piece of food you eat. You are not a machine, so please don’t act like one. Do this, and you’ll end up feeling like a slave. Eventually, you’ll reach a tipping point and throw in the flabby arms towel.

3. Balance your meals. No need to get crazy with your eating (please don’t take acai!). Your number one priority is to make sure your meals have a vegetable, fat, protein and carbohydrate item. Trust me, this is all you have to do.

4. Banish your calorie-counting tendencies. Even worse than your food journal, calorie-counting is another full time job. And the worst part is that it’s based on an obsolete closed thermodynamic model. A 3500 caloric deficit does NOT equal a pound of fat loss. Don’t become a machine when learning how to lose arm fat!

5. Don’t eliminate pleasure foods from your diet. The biggest negatives of pleasure foods are high caloric content and fast digestion. You can minimize both negatives by simply having a slightly smaller portion of the food and accompanying it with a serving of vegetables. The fibrous material of the vegetable will slow down the digestion of the pleasure food substantially and less calories (if any) will go to your arm fat.

6. Don’t have more than one serving of alcohol per day. Again, despite all the advice on this one, many of my female clients still drink way too much. Aside from a high caloric content, alcohol shuts down all your arm fat burning hormones. The good news is that the more you exercise, the less alcohol you need to achieve that “buzz” feeling.

Learning how to lose arm fat the right way should be a lot easier with my eat-right tips. Follow them, and the arm flab will come right off. It’s not as hard as you think.

And remember that trying to get everything perfect in one shot is unrealistic. You will fall off the wagon from time to time. Expect this, and always get back on track as soon as possible.

Can You Learn To Lose Arm Fat With A Digital Product?

January 1st, 2010

The internet is inundated with fitness experts offering solutions on how to lose arm fat. Figuring out which experts are offering the best solutions can be harder than finding a piece of gold in a river. Way too many so called experts are out to make your purse lighter!

And if you buy into a solution that does not work, the resulting failure could end up killing any lingering sexy arm dreams you may have. In the worst of scenarios, your arms may even end up looking worse than they were!

How do you make sure the savvy marketers dont suck out the contents of your bank account?

Well, before purchasing any solutions from fitness experts, you HAVE to look out for the following indicators:

1. A to Z weight loss programs. Good luck trying to learn everything there is to know about weight loss! You do not have to take the complicated route when learning how to lose arm fat. It is much simpler than you have been led to believe. Most sites selling you everything under the sun about weight loss are simply trying to get more money out of your purse.

2. Hard to see before and after pictures. If you can not really see the person in the before and after picture than he probably does not exist. Anybody can pay somebody overseas to modify a digital picture for pennies on the dollar. Look for crystal clear before and after pictures that clearly show the same person.

3. Stocking stuffers. If you notice the site is offering bonus after bonus after bonus, then its time to close the window. This overused marketing tactic has invaded the internet and creates the image of getting more for less. Please do not fall for this.

4. Once-in-a-lifetime discounts. The odds are that it is not a once-in-a-lifetime discount, but rather a basic ploy to get you to buy now. If you are allegedly getting a $500 program for $20, then do not look twice and close the window immediately.

5. Credential spamming. You could become a fitness professional in two days, no joke. The industry is grossly under-regulated. If the alleged author of the program you are considering highlights a long list of certifications, then please move on. Most likely, you will get a piece of junk delivered to your inbox upon purchase.

The desire to learn how to lose arm fat should not limit your ability to identify questionable offers on the net. There are good programs out there, and you are now better prepared to find them!

How To Tone Up Arms Without All The Misinformation

December 1st, 2009

Learning how to tone up arms for the first time can be somewhat difficult. Especially, if your source of information and guidance is dubious. And many women are lost amongst the sea of information.

I know this is the case because of all the questions I receive on a daily basis.

And don’t be too hard on yourself. After all, a lot of this confusion is created by questionable marketing that will make your purse lighter while your arms get heavier.

So without further delay, here are 5 myths on how to tone up arms:

1. Working out every day is best. I strongly recommend NOT working out every day. This will leave you burned out, unable to get sleep and absolutely dreading the whole process. Your muscles and nervous system need rest in order to progress.

2. One arm is stronger than the other, therefore something is wrong. This is completely normal. In fact, I’ve never worked with a client whose arms were equally strong. The good news is that over time this difference will equalize.

3. 15 rep sets provide maximum arm toning. Well, not really. You do not have to do 15 repetitions for every single set you do. Instead, aim for a more varied number of repetitions so that you target all of your muscle fibers.

4. If I get tired I should stop. Stop if you feel sick, otherwise keep on going. Bear in mind that when you push yourself really hard, your body secretes hormones that incinerate arm fat. There is no other way to get these hormones flowing.

5. Being sore for days after is bad. Not really. It’s actually an indication that you had a great workout. Strive to maintain this level of intensity. Over time, levels of soreness will actually decrease.

Please steer clear of all the marketing hype out there. Stick to unbiased sources of information and learning how to tone up arms will be that much easier. Only then will you get the sexy arms of your dreams!

Taking Your Arm Toning Workouts To The Next Level

November 18th, 2009

You may have fallen into a trap. A trap that consists of doing the same arm toning routine over and over and over. Unfortunately, this is a sure-fire way to let adaptation set in.

But maybe you are changing your arm toning routine and STILL not seeing results. How is this possible? Because even if you do have fresh routines every time you set foot in the gym, you still need to increase intensity levels for consistent arm toning.

So without further ado, here are some tips to supercharge your workouts to lose more arm fat:

1. Keep rest short. Once you rest longer than 60 seconds, you compromise the production of fat burning hormones. Now you don’t have to follow this rule to the dot, but try to avoid super long rest periods.

2. Get more lactic acid. In other words, you should feel some degree of discomfort within your muscles when you are arm toning. If you really dislike this feeling, start of slow and gradually increase levels of intensity. Just make sure you do not become too complacent.

3. Push yourself to do more. You should always be striving to increase the difficulty of a variable. The variable could be weight used, length of rest period, difficulty of exercises, etc. It’s imperative that you avoid falling into a pattern of monotony.

4. Exercise your muscles completely. In other words, make sure all the different muscle fiber types are targeted. The best way to do this is to use a wide variety of weights and a wide variety of repetition levels. Stay away from using high repetition sets only.

5. Get your feet wet with some advanced training. Advanced training can be hard, very hard. Nonetheless, you shouldn’t shy away from it. After all, it can really take your arm toning to the next level.

The key to losing arm fat as fast as possible is to keep your workouts fresh and challenging. This is the only way to ensure that you aren’t spinning your wheels in the gym. After all, nothing is more demoralizing that taking the effort to workout on a consistent basis only to notice a lack of results.
